Major Ski School offers professional ski & snowboard classes provided exclusively by instructors with a valid license accredited by the Ministry of Education. We provide our instructors regular trainings to ensure the best service for our customers. Let the professionals to teach your children in a way which will prevent your children from acquiring bad habits on ski slopes and allow them to enjoy learning in a funny and entertaining way. Since this season, we've joined forces with the Classic ski school, which upholds the same standards. The only difference is that you can now spot us in yellow jackets, and we've expanded our offerings to include the Studenov ski resort.
Our classes
Where
The lessons take place in the ski resorts of Horní Domky, Modrá Hvězda, and Studenov. At all these ski resorts, we operate offices where you'll most often meet your instructors before the first lesson. Close to these offices, you'll also find children's parks run by us, equipped with a moving carpet (Modrá Hvězda and Horní Domky), or a tow lift and children's aids (Studenov - Hranice) suitable for teaching absolute beginners, directly adjacent to the slopes.
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS
Most commonly, lessons are conducted in blocks starting at 8:30 - 10:00, 10:00 - 12:00, 12:00 - 14:00, and 14:00 - 16:00. From 10:00 onwards and during the peak season of spring holidays, there is nearly exclusive group teaching also organized from 14:00. You can choose whether to attend just one block or opt for the so-called full-day lessons, totaling 4 hours per day: 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.
Children or adults are grouped based on their skiing (or snowboarding) abilities. Complete beginners start their lessons in the children's park, while more advanced skiers commence directly on the slope. Based on actual skills and progress in learning, there is flexibility within the days to switch between groups to ensure the most effective teaching for all participants.
Individual lessons typically occur from 8:30 to 10:00 at Horní Domky, and at Modrá Hvězda and Studenov ski resorts from 9:00 to 10:00, from 12:00 to 14:00, and from 14:00 to 16:00. In exceptional cases (children up to 5 years old), individual lessons for a duration of 1 hour are possible. One hour with us equals 50 minutes, while 2 hours (standard lessons) equal 1 hour and 40 minutes.

We do not ask for a deposit, payment is made in person at the ski school office before the first lesson .
We accept CZK and EUR currency in cash and all major credit cards.

What to bring to your class
your ski or snowboard equipment well adjusted
please note that a ski helmet is a mandatory equipment for all children under the age of 18 - without a helmet, a child will not be accepted into class
more advanced skiers should bring their own ski passes, beginners could wait with their ski pass purchase after the first meeting with their instructor, ski passes are not needed for those going to the ski belt in kid's park
each children will receive a reflective vest with the name of our ski school and a visible badge with their name
Ski rental
Major rental and ski service is located directly in the Horní Domky cable car building. We offer brands such as Rossignol, Dynastar and Lange and the rented equipment is inspected and serviced daily. The rental shop is also a TEST center of top models Rossignol. Ski and snowboard service is done on the professional FTA machines. We use the latest modern technology to provide your ski equipment with the best service.

Information for instructors
We provide classes of downhill skiing - carving, telemark, snowboarding and ski mountaineering. We offer a school branded quality winter clothes, free ski passes, discounted accommodation and meals, excellent salary conditions and a subsidy for licensed courses. We also organize various trainings, lectures for our instructors throughout the season. Being an instructor at our school is not just a job, it is a lifestyle!
